Name: Camp ReCreation
Date: June 3, 2018 - June 15, 2018
Volunteer Opportunity Camp ReCreation is looking for an array of volunteers to help with the 2018 camp sessions in June. Camp ReCreation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a summer camp for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We aim to pair young adult volunteers one on one with the campers who have special needs. They participate in daily activities together which builds bridges of understanding and friendship. Daily activities include group classes such as art, games, music and faith formation, dances, carnival, picnics, fireworks, a banquet and so much more. Camp ReCreation promotes respect, community involvement and volunteerism. This life-changing experience takes place at the Taylor-Richardton Elementary School the first two weeks in June. There are many ways to volunteer, from a day to a whole week! Our two camp sessions for volunteers are June 3-7th and June 10-15th. If you are interested in volunteering for a day, activities may include kitchen staff, cleaning, setting up and assisting with classes and activities, decorating for the banquet and dance, help with moving out of the facilities and joining in on the fun with the other volunteers and campers. If you are interested in helping more, we always can use class teachers, night supervisors, nurse help, kitchen staff, helping campers with daily activities and more. If you know someone that may be interested in volunteering, please spread the word! We are always looking for volunteers! If you would like more information on how you or a friend can help, please visit our website at www.camprecreationnd.com or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Will you Dare to Care?
