Together, the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce and our Professional Development Committee are excited to announce the launch of Develop Dickinson. Develop Dickinson brings resources together to focus on practical, affordable opportunities to advance your career & skill set. Events over the year focus on four types of development: community, educational, networking & professional.

Are you getting noticed when potential customers are searching for your business on Google? How do you even know if you are? Did you know there are many free (YES- free!) Google services that can help your marketing efforts?
Are you using Google Analytics? Are you familiar with SEO (search engine optimization) to decipher where your customers are going to on your website and what city, state your customers are searching from?
Are you listing your hours, a phone number and a website that someone can just click on to get directly to your web page? Google your business name and see how many pages it takes for your name to pop up on Google such as “Dickinson, ND restaurant” are you one of the First Businesses to pop up or are you on page 5?

JULIE OBRIGEWITSCH
Since January 2010, Julie has been with the Dickinson Convention & Visitors Bureau, beginning as the Sales Coordinator to bring meetings, conventions, and sports to Dickinson.
As the marketing methods have evolved into the primary use of digital marketing, she stepped into an additional role of the social media manager for the CVB. She facilitates the digital marketing, website maintenance, and analytical reports for the CVB.
In 2018, Julie began using the Google platform and verified the Dickinson CVB’s Google Knowledge Panel and the city of Dickinson’s Knowledge Panel. More than 1,270,000 views have been counted on the Dickinson, ND Knowledge Panel. She has been accredited for contributing hundreds of photos of Dickinson hospitality businesses to Google, resulting in nearly 8 million views.
She has presented on maximizing your Google presence to the Small Business Development Center State Conference, ND Recreation & Parks State Conference, ND Travel Conference, Dickinson City Commission, Downtown Dickinson Association, and last year’s ND Main Street Summit.
Julie was the recipient of the 2020 Telegraph Award for Marketing Technology during the Governor’s Travel and Tourism Awards. She is a Grow with Google Partner and is the Vice President of the Destination Marketing Association of North Dakota.
