Dickinson Rotary Club Sponsors Armed Forces Day Luncheon
DICKINSON—The Rotary Club of Dickinson will host the annual Armed Forces Day luncheon at noon on Wednesday, May 16 at the Dickinson Ramada Grand Dakota Lodge, 532 15th St W. Open to the public, Armed Forces Day recognizes the men and women who serve or have served in all branches of our country’s military service, protecting our country and its citizens.
Luncheon speaker is Lt. Col. (ret.) Shirley Olgeirson, who served 25 years in the North Dakota Army National Guard and was deployed during Operation Desert Storm in 1990. She will be speaking on the “History of the Dickinson unit, Company K, 164th Infantry.”
The Armed Forces Day program includes a musical prelude featuring patriotic selections, presentation of colors and recognition of all service members, past and present, in all branches of the military.
Admission cost of $15 covers the meal. Tickets are available from Rotary Club members, the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce or at the door.
